Timber Edge Farm camp programs are designed to develop competent and self-confident horse people, with an emphasis on horsemanship and horse care. In order to meet the needs of our students, we have 3 different programs available. The first is a regular day camp, designed for boys and girls ages 7 through 14. Campers may attend any or all of the four sessions based on riding ability: camp days are Monday through Friday, 9 am to 3:30 pm. Activities include daily riding, horse care, stable management, vaulting, swimming, arts and crafts, and other recreational activities. Special events include overnights, field trips, horse shows, gymkhanas, color war, and horseless horse shows.Older campers (generally 14 & 15) are eligible, if qualified, to participate in a counselor-in-training program. Preference is given to former campers and students who have shown maturity and responsibility and who desire to train for a position on our staff in the future. Participants ride and swim daily and are involved in a counselor and instructor training program. You will find Timber Edge to be a unique camp in that we have a very relaxed, informal atmosphere and, at the same time, maintain an extensive, challenging riding program. In swimming and riding, we preserve a balance between being competitive, striving for excellence, and having a good time. In the rest of our camp program, however, the balance is tipped very much in favor of having a good time. Unlike many camps that are solely riding camps, here we offer a complete, well-rounded camp program, with our activities stressing informality and relaxation. 2021 Camp Dates: Session A: June 14 - June 18 (depending on number of applications based on when schools are complete) Session 1: June 21 - June 25 Session 2: June 28 -July 9 Session 3: July 12 - July 23 Session 4: July 26 - August 5 or 6 2021 Camp Fees: Sessions A, 1: $450 session Sessions 2, 3, 4: $900 per session **A 10% discount will be given to anyone who enrolls in all 4 sessions and is paid in full by April 1. **A 10% discount will be given to the second child of a family enrolled in any session. |
